Abstract: Could gravity modify the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, perhaps the cornerstone principle of quantum physics?
How does gravity affect quantum entanglement? And does the quantum vacuum turn black holes into chemical-like systems?
These questions bring together ideas from disparate scientific disciplines and, in doing so, advance our knowledge of fundamental physics.
In this talk, Prof. Mann will pose these questions and describe the efforts he has made to answer them throughout his career. He will also present new directions that continue to emerge by blending ideas from different subdisciplines.
