Year: 3

Pronouns: she/her

Career goal: I hope to become a pharmacist and help people improve their health by providing safe and effective medication while educating patients about their treatment.

How I get involved: Apart from being a science ambassador, I enjoy staying involved on campus through volunteering and leadership. I currently volunteer at Open House, Let’s Talk Science, and Chem Lab Days, where I help with science outreach and student engagement. I also serve as a Frontline Leader during Orientation and am an executive with UW Students for Partners in Health Canada (UW SPIHC). Previously, I worked at the Science Coffee and Donut Shop, volunteered with Global Brigades, and served as an executive with the Black Medical Leaders of Tomorrow (UW BMLT).

Why I love my program

I love Biomedical Sciences because it gives me a strong understanding of human biology and health while allowing me to explore many different areas of science. The program challenges me to think critically and prepares me for a career in healthcare.

Why University of Waterloo?

I chose the University of Waterloo because it offers a strong academic environment with many opportunities for learning, leadership, and community involvement. I wanted to attend a university where I could grow both academically and personally while gaining experiences that support my future career in healthcare.
