Ariana - Psychology

Science Ambassador

Program: Psychology

Year: 3

Pronouns: She/Her

Career goal: Neurologist

How I get involved: In addition to being a Science Ambassador, I have gotten involved at Waterloo by attending club events hosted by the Neuroscience Club and the Pre-Med Club. I also tutor for physiology, psychology, biology, and French, providing one-on-one support to help students strengthen their understanding of the material and reach their academic goals.

Why I love my program

One of the things I love most about the Psychology program at the University of Waterloo is the opportunity to explore different areas of psychology early on before focusing my upper year courses on the topics that interest me most. I also appreciate the many opportunities to get involved outside the classroom, including research labs, clubs, and peer mentorship programs.

Why University of Waterloo?

I chose the University of Waterloo because its co-op program is a truly unique experience that allows students to complete up to five work terms before graduating. It provides the opportunity to explore different career interests early on while developing valuable professional skills and gaining relevant work experience that prepares students for their future careers.
