How I get involved: My favourite way to get involved at Waterloo has been attending a wide range of club events, especially ones that let me try new things and meet new people. I used to be involved with SciSoc and am currently part of COCA, and I also serve as a First Responder with the Campus Response Team, which has been a meaningful way to stay engaged on campus while discovering new opportunities.
Why I love my program
I really like my program because it’s flexible and lets me focus on courses I actually enjoy instead of ones I’m not interested in. It also gives me the chance to explore different areas of science, which works well since I like trying a bit of everything. I’ve even been able to take some health and humanities courses through Honours Science, which I think adds a really useful perspective.
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose Waterloo because of its excellent education and its supportive community. Also, my dad, my favourite Waterloo alumni, always spoke highly of the opportunities and ways to get involved in the Kitchener-Waterloo area, which really stood out to me. It also let me stay close to home while still getting a full university experience.
