Career goal: I'd like to work in pharma R&D! In particular, I'm really interested in drug design for either mental health conditions or neurodegenerative diseases like ALS.
How I get involved: Most recently, I was a frontline leader for Science Orientation 2025! I had an awesome time and would love to do it again in the future! Additionally, as of completing my first year, I was also the first-year rep for Chem Club and a volunteer for the Kids' Fun Science open house :)
Why I love my program
I love med chem because it allows me to focus on drug design/development early in my educational career. It's a unique program that provides me with opportunities to grow my skills through academic and real-world experiences, while embracing the amazing science community at Waterloo!
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose Waterloo because I wanted to be a part of a community that valued learning and embracing cultural differences. Although I'm still scared of the geese, the supportive profs, kind friends and unique opportunities are what make me grateful for choosing this school!
