How I get involved: Alongside being a Science Ambassador, I stay involved on campus by volunteering during Orientation, serving as a SciSoc Coordinator, and participating in community initiatives such as Relay for Life.
Why I love my program
I love my program because it provides me with the opportunity to explore different areas within biology while also developing practical skills in the field. Through my courses, I have been able to participate in labs within the Science faculty at Waterloo, which I really enjoy because they are hands-on, engaging, and make up some of my most memorable learning experiences!
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose the University of Waterloo because of its focus on experiential learning and the chance to learn beyond the classroom. I like that students have the flexibility to pursue co-op or, if they choose not to, can still gain valuable experience through programs like EDGE. These opportunities to build skills and gain experience are one of the things I value most about Waterloo.
