How I get involved: I play in soccer intramural's and am a science ambassador. As well as volunteer with science outreach!
Why I love my program
I love my program because of the freedom I have in picking my courses. Coming to university I knew I wanted to have being a doctor be my end goal but I was still unsure of what specialty I wanted to go into, but with the ability to have freedom in my course selection it helped me discover more about my interests in medicine and what kind of doctor I want to become. As well as it gives me a science background for medical school, while still being able to round out my education with humanities courses.
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose the University of Waterloo because of its reputation in innovation and education. When visiting the school I especially loved the labs and the level of care that is put into the education here. Not to mention the work and volunteer opportunities that are available to me even as a non-coop student that will strengthen my medical school application!
