Career goal: My goal is to build a career where I can combine biology with environmental education and help people better understand and protect the environment.
How I get involved: I enjoy getting involved by volunteering at different events like the Kids' Science Open House, attending club gatherings, and connecting with other students on campus. This year, I'm also excited to be part of Orientation and help welcome new students to the Waterloo community.
Why I love my program
I love my program because it's so hands-on. We get to explore many different areas of biology through labs that use techniques and equipment many undergraduate students don't have the opportunity to experience. I think that it makes what we learn in class much more exciting and worthwhile.
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose Waterloo because of its co-op program and the opportunity to gain meaningful work experience even while still studying. I also really liked how welcoming the community felt, as well as the chance to get involved both inside and outside the classroom.
