Program: Biomedical Sciences

Year: 2

Pronouns: She/Her

Career goal: I hope to pursue a career in healthcare where I can combine my interest in science with my passion for helping people. I want to be able to use what I learn to make a real difference in people's lives and improve their overall well-being.

How I get involved: I get involved at Waterloo as a Science Ambassador, where I get to share my experiences and love for science with prospective students. I also enjoy being involved in music clubs and orchestra. Through these activities, I’ve been able to meet new people and be part of different communities on campus.

Why I love my program

I love Biomedical Sciences because I get to learn about topics that genuinely interest me. I also really like the flexibility of the program with electives. Being able to take courses in areas like psychology and music lets me explore different interests and learn about things that I’m passionate about outside of science.

Why University of Waterloo?

I chose Waterloo because I wanted a place where I could grow as a person, meet people who share my interests, and feel like I was part of a community. I really liked the campus atmosphere and the sense of community I felt when I first visited Waterloo, and I felt like it was a place where I could be myself while pursuing something I love.
