How I get involved: One of my favourite ways to get involved is by volunteering within the Faculty of Science through Science Outreach and as a Science Ambassador. These roles have given me the opportunity to connect with prospective students, families, and fellow volunteers. Outside of science, I'm also involved with AIM for SEVA Waterloo and the Raas Warriors dance team. There are so many ways for students to get involved on campus and explore opportunities that match their interests!
Why I love my program
I love my program because it provides a strong foundation in the sciences during first and second year, while giving me the flexibility in upper years to tailor my degree to my interests. The program covers the prerequisites for many professional and graduate programs, while still leaving plenty of elective space to explore different areas of science and discover what interests you most!
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose Waterloo because I wanted a program that would keep my future options open while giving me a strong foundation in the sciences. I was also drawn to Waterloo's reputation for research, its diverse community, and the many opportunities to get involved both inside and outside the classroom. Since coming to Waterloo, I've really appreciated the supportive community and the many resources available to help students succeed, which have made it feel like the right place for me to grow both academically and personally!
