Career goal: Currently my career goal is to work in conserving species and ecosystems through a job like marine biologist or conservation ecologist! I want a career where I get the chance to travel and to do research in the field!
How I get involved: To get involved at Waterloo I participate in club and science faculty events such as bonfires, fairs and game nights. I have also volunteered at the Gem & Mineral show and at Waterloo open days!
Why I love my program
I love the ecology program because I get to learn about the environment from so many different angles. I also really like that it's a smaller program, which gives you the chance to get to know everyone. And my favourite part of the program is definitely the labs! I love being able to apply what I've learned, get outside, and do hands-on experiments and fieldwork.
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose to come to Waterloo because of the co-op opportunities! I loved the idea of getting the chance to test out different jobs and gain work experience before graduating. And outside of co-op, I wanted the chance to explore different topics through the interesting courses that Waterloo offered, like plant biology and music history!
