How I get involved: There's so many ways I get involved at Waterloo! I'm a Science Ambassador, and I'm a volunteer with Science Outreach for events such as Chem Lab Days. I love to go bouldering on the Rock Climbing Wall, and I also attend events run by our many student clubs on campus, as there's a variety of interesting activities to choose from!
Why I love my program
My program is exciting because I get to learn so many interesting techniques in my biology and chemistry labs! The hands-on experience is great for building my laboratory skills, and the lectures are engaging. I love learning topics in both biology and chemistry, and the Biochemistry program offers an opportunity to study both, which works well with my interests and career goals.
Why University of Waterloo?
Waterloo offers the co-op stream with Biochemistry, so I'm able to gain work experience in fields I'm interested in pursuing. There's also lots to do on campus, from clubs to sports to events, and even off campus the city is great and I'm always able to find something interesting to do!
