Stream of study: Regular

Pronouns: She/Her

How I get involved: Aside from being a Science Ambassador, I play intramural volleyball, which has been a great way to stay active and meet new people. I’m involved with several clubs, including Medicine4Youth_UW, UW Public Health Brigades, and the UW Stem Cell Club, where I’ve been able to connect with others who share the same interests in science. I currently work as a Teaching Assistant, giving me the opportunity to support other students and strengthen my own knowledge. I also enjoy giving back through volunteering at events like the Kids Science Open House and with Chemistry Outreach.

Why I love my program

I love my program because it gives me the freedom to take courses I’m genuinely passionate about while still exploring areas of science I hadn’t considered before. I get to connect with a diverse range of people who share the same interests as me. The program has helped me explore various fields within science, such as microbiology, genetics and physiology, and allowed me to take the prerequisites I need for pharmacy school.

Why University of Waterloo?

I chose the University of Waterloo for various reasons. It has a strong community, providing me with access to numerous resources, clubs and activities. The campus is huge; it has many studying spots and fosters a vibrant atmosphere and welcoming environment. I knew that by choosing the University of waterloo, I would be in an environment that encourages academic excellence, allowing me to thrive and achieve better academic performance. .
