Career goal: While I am still exploring my options, I am considering pursuing postgraduate studies, specifically a master’s degree to further my knowledge in a biology-related field.
How I get involved: Aside from being a science ambassador, I have attended various events, including the Science Faculty’s karaoke night, workshops such as Exploring Conflict Management and Building Effective Teams. I’ve also joined the chess club and WatSAM (microbiology club), and I am currently involved in volleyball intramurals!
Why I love my program
Honours science offers me many opportunities since I get to select my own courses. I customize my schedule by picking courses I am interested in and need as prerequisites for postgraduate studies. I get to connect with a diverse range of people who share the same interests as me. The program has helped me explore various fields within science, such as microbiology, genetics and physiology. The electives it allows me to take has helped me discover a passion for human geography!

I chose the University of Waterloo for various reasons. It has a strong community, where I have access to numerous resources, clubs and activities. The campus is huge, it has many study spots and fosters a vibrant atmosphere and a welcoming environment. I knew that by choosing the University of waterloo, I would be in an environment that encourages academic excellence, allowing me to thrive and achieve better academic performance.
