Minji fun

Program: Pharmacy

Year: 1

Stream of study: Co-op

Pronouns: She/Her

Career goal: Pharmacist!

How I get involved: While being in Honours Science before entering pharmacy school, I have been a part of UW Society of Addictions Awareness as an Internal Communications Director, UW Lions Club as VP Design, and UW Supporting SickKids as a Marketing Coordinator. I have been an active member in the Science Society and have also had the opportunity to volunteer as a research assistant in the Brain and Body lab. Recently, I also volunteered as a UW Science Orientation Coordinator! This is my second year as a Science Ambassador! :)

Why I love my program

Before entering Pharmacy, I loved being in Honours Science because the program allowed me to explore a diverse range of courses and helped align my studies with my future career goals! Now, what I love about the Pharmacy program at UW is its strong emphasis on support systems and hands-on learning through the co-op program. This practical experience prepares us for real-world challenges in the healthcare setting!

Why University of Waterloo?

I chose University of Waterloo because its mission aligned with my goals of seeking advanced learning and knowledge through education, research, and scholarship, all in a warm and supportive environment. My final decision came after visiting several hosted tours, where I had the chance to explore the campus and experience its vibrant community!
