Career goal: I hope to build a career in the life sciences, ideally working in a laboratory setting where I can apply biochemistry to improve human health. I am interested in research and healthcare.
How I get involved: I stay involved through volunteering, including at a hospital, where I support patients and staff in a healthcare environment. I also participate in campus events, attend workshops, and look for opportunities that help me grow academically and professionally.
Why I love my program
I love Biochemistry because it combines my interests in chemistry and biology while helping me understand the molecular processes that make life possible. I enjoy the laboratory component of the program and the opportunity to apply scientific concepts to real-world challenges.

I chose the University of Waterloo because of its strong reputation in science, its emphasis on hands-on learning, and the opportunities it provides for personal and professional growth. I was excited by the chance to learn from excellent faculty, gain practical experience, and be part of a supportive and innovative community.
