Career goal: I want to do my PhD in Clinical psychology and do research in neuroscience and pharmaceuticals.
How I get involved: My favourite things are participating in class, organizing study groups, encouraging the people around me to attend faculty events (because they're always more fun with more people) and participating in competitions. I also really enjoy going to the fitness classes provided there and making friends through that.
Why I love my program
I love my program because I have a passion for science and Honours Science and Psychology gives me the opportunity to pick a lot of my science electives, so everything I take is something I'm interested in and I get to build around what I like.
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose Waterloo because it is a very strong science school, and academics are a first for me. But it's also a medium sized campus so I'm taken care of by my faculty and the waterloo staff. Additionally, the campus is so peaceful and nice. Also, when competing for grad school, having work experience that the co-op program can provide is something I really value.
