Science Ambassador

Program: Science and Aviation

Year: 2

Stream of study: Regular

Pronouns: He/Him

Career goal: I'd like to eventually become a pilot for an airline, hopefully on the 787! I would also like to explore flying other planes in various parts of Canada, especially up north when I graduate!

How I get involved: I've loved getting involved at the university since my first year, especially through the Faculty of Science and the University of Waterloo Aviation Society (UWAS)! This year, I was able to become a Science Orientation Leader, where I had the chance to meet countless enthusiastic students! I also volunteered at the UWAS Intro Day for incoming aviation students, and I also work with the University of Waterloo's varsity sports team, the Warriors.

Why I love my program

The Science and Aviation program at the University of Waterloo is one of the most unique programs that can be found anywhere in Canada! Being able to combine my passion for aviation and my love for science has made this program so incredibly fun and rewarding! However, it doesn't come without its challenges. Juggling flight training and my courses at the university can get hectic sometimes, but nothing beats the feeling of knowing that I get to fly planes right after my lecture!

Why University of Waterloo?

Ever since I started high school, the University of Waterloo was the only university that I set my sights on. The world-class professors and academics, to the passionate and welcoming students, were everything I could want from a university. When I found out that the Science and Aviation program was offered at UW, I knew it was the only place I'd want to be!
