Program: Physics and Astronomy

Year: 3

Pronouns: She/Her

Career goal: My career goal is to work in a research group or astrophysics lab focused on exoplanet or cosmological research!

How I get involved: At Waterloo, I volunteer with FemPhys as a room volunteer, helping create a welcoming and inclusive space for underrepresented groups in physics. In Winter 2026, I worked closely with the Science Advancement team, supporting outreach events both on and off campus. I continue to volunteer with the Science Advancement team at university events, including convocation and other outreach initiatives.

Why I love my program

I love being part of a field where there's always something new to discover, and where technology is always improving to bring us one step closer to understanding the universe.

Why University of Waterloo?

I chose Waterloo because of the exciting research happening in physics and astronomy, as well as the co-op program. I knew it would give me the chance to gain hands-on experience in my field while learning from researchers and exploring the areas of physics I'm most interested in.
