Program: Biomedical Sciences
Year: 4
Pronouns: She/Her
Career goal: My goal is to build a career that continues to develop my skills in science research and healthcare!
How I get involved: Outside of being a Science Ambassador, I volunteer with the Stem Cell Club to support individuals wishing to join the stem cell registry and tutor students in math and science courses at Waterloo. I also serve as a note-taker for Waterloo's Accessibility Services.
Why I love my program
I love my program because it gives me the flexibility to take courses I am interested in while also setting me up for success for any professional schools or master's programs I wish to pursue. I also love that the majority of the science courses in Biomedical Sciences have a lab component, which honestly makes things easier to learn, especially with the hands-on experience!
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose the University of Waterloo because of the variety of course offerings, opportunities to get involved outside of academics, and the close-knit community within the Faculty of Science. Waterloo has a world-class reputation, but it's the people here who actually make you want to show up!
