Program: Honours Science + Conditional Admission to Pharmacy (CAP)
Year: 2
Stream of study: Regular
Pronouns: He/Him
Career goal: Pharmacist!
How I get involved: There are so many ways to get involved at the University of Waterloo! I am part of clubs such as Pre-Pharmacy and Badminton Club! I also volunteered at the Kids' Science Open House representing the pharmacy booth. Additionally, this is my first year as a Science Ambassador!
Why I love my program
In high school, I learned about CAP (Conditional Admission to Pharmacy) status. This was an excellent opportunity to pursue my passion in pharmacy straight out of high school. With this status, I entered into the Honours Science program, which I was really attracted to because of its flexibility. You are able to take your standard science and math courses, but also many fun and interesting electives! With CAP status, you are able to make lifelong friendships within your cohort, as well as build meaningful connections with the students and faculty members at the School of Pharmacy.
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose Waterloo because of their wonderful science facilities, the amazing CAP program that is only offered here, and the welcoming science ambassadors that helped answer all my questions and make me comfortable with transitioning from high school. When I toured the campus and saw everything it had to offer, it ultimately led to my decision to choose Waterloo!
