How I get involved: I've had the pleasure to TA BIOL 241 for the past two years, as well as BIOL 130L before that. I've also gotten to be an orientation leader twice now (go SciEye!). Outside of this, I partake in the joy of making music with others, be it at Grebel or a club ensemble or on the STC piano the night before an exam.
Why I love Biochemistry
I really can't say anything one of the other ambassadors hasn't already said. It really is the best of both worlds! I will add this, though: I switched into Biochemistry from Biology, and in the process gained access to so many courses otherwise unavailable to me, many of which have been favourites thus far in my undergraduate career.
Why University of Waterloo?
To a naïve, high school me, co-op was absolutely the deciding factor. With the benefit of hindsight, however, I'd choose it again in a heartbeat; the people I've met here, the city surrounding us, and the opportunities I've had have all reaffirmed my decision countless times over.
