Program: Honours Science and Business, Biology Minor
Year: 4
Stream of study: Co-op
Pronouns: She/Her
Career goal: My goal is to further my education by pursuing a Master's in Business Administration, which I plan to leverage for a career in business consulting and eventually find my niche. Ultimately, I aspire to establish my own consulting firm. I'm excited to help businesses navigate innovation and leverage emerging technologies to shape the future of their industries.
How I get involved: I first got involved as the Vice President of the Science and Business Students' Association (shoutout: @uwsbsa!!) and later served as President for two terms. It was a really fun experience where I found a strong sense of community within the Science and Business student body. In addition to being a Science Ambassador, I currently serve as the Co-Vice President of Student Life for Science Society.
Why I love my program
I love my program because it provides the ideal combination of science and business courses, allowing me to approach problems from multiple perspectives. It’s exciting to see how scientific research can be translated into business solutions! I love how the program’s flexibility allows you to specialize in a particular area while also adding minors, making it easy to tailor your education to your own interests. Also, the close-knit community and incredible support from everyone have made my university experience truly special :’)
Why University of Waterloo?
Okay, I know the co-op program is the most popular answer—but seriously, it’s what first drew me to Waterloo! The chance to gain hands-on experience and build a professional network right from the start was hard to pass up. But what really sealed the deal was how, the moment I stepped on campus for my first visit, it just felt like home. Waterloo’s commitment to innovation, the genuine support from people, and that immediate sense of belonging all made it the perfect choice for me.
