Program: Honours Biochemistry

Year: 2nd

Stream of study: Co-op

Pronouns: She/Her

Career goal: Toxicologist/Researcher

How I get involved: I have been involved in many things on campus thus far! As you can tell, I am a Science Ambassador for biochemistry this year. I was an orientation leader for 2025 (Go Attack on Titrants!!), I volunteer with the Science Outreach Let's Talk Science program. I am the VP Academic for the Biochemistry Student Association for the Fall 2025 term and a researcher for WATSAM for the same term. (I have been very busy this fall)

Why I love my program

I love my program because it is tailored to my current interests and future goals, while also being broad enough to discover new fields of interest and explore various opportunities. There are also many opportunities to get hands-on and practical experience through lab courses and Co-op!!!

Why University of Waterloo?

I chose the University of Waterloo for many reasons; to begin the Co-op program was my biggest motivation for choosing Waterloo. I saw it as an impeccable opportunity to gain invaluable work experience during my degree and develop real-world skills while completing my studies. Furthermore, when I toured the school during the fall open house, I immediately fell in love with how professional and well-structured the first-year labs were.
