On October 2nd, #movethedial, which is dedicated to increasing participation of women in tech brought its event series to Waterloo. Held at community partner Vidyard, #movethedial brought together community members and supporters in a fireside chat setting. Lynne Murdoch, an Innovator in Residence at GreenHouse was one of the entrepreneurs featured at the event.

During the event, all speakers were asked a variety of questions related to their business and their experiences as female-identified entrepreneurs. Lynne had the opportunity to discuss VOYHS, an app that gives trans people resources to train their voice. The app will offer coaching in addition to a community for all its users.

Lynne stated that "Move the Dial was an exciting opportunity for me to network with other female-identified founders and I met a lot of wonderful people- in the lead-up, I was nervous, but everyone was extremely welcoming and I had a great time."

As a result of her participation in the event, Lynne was invited to attend #movethedial Global Summit on November 14th. The Global Summit is an annual event focused on diversity and inclusion and will be held in Toronto this year. By attending, Lynne will have the opportunity to further network with professionals on a grander scale.

Way to go Lynne!
