Dr. Lennart Nacke appointed as University Research Chair
The University of Waterloo owes much of its reputation and stature to the quality of its professors and scholarly accomplishments. Dr. Lennart Nacke has accomplished exceptional academic accolades and scholarly breakthroughs to receive the prestigious title of University Research Chair, a 7-year appointment commencing on July 1, 2024.
Dr. Nacke has over 20 years of experience in research and teaching User Experience Design and Research focused on Games and Gamification. He has written over 200 research papers, started a top-tier academic conference series that is now the academic journal CHI PLAY and received millions of dollars of research funding through major corporations and the Government of Canada.
Dr. Nacke’s mission is to make science more accessible to the public and the world a better place by creating more enjoyable experiences with technology.
