After months of research, learning, and preparation, the six top Map the System teams at UWaterloo will compete at the Campus Final on April 10, 2024.
We are delighted to announce a team of MDEI students has advanced to the final of the Map the Systems Competition at UW. Their topic is "Visualizing Accessibility: Mapping accessibility in education for invisible disabilities."
Map the System is a global challenge hosted by Oxford University that tasks students with mapping a problem using systems-thinking tools. Students will pitch their completed "map" of their problem to a panel of judges, with the winners receiving cash prizes and the opportunity to represent the University of Waterloo at the Canadian Finals in Calgary.
The MDEI students that have advanced to the U Waterloo Finals of the Map the Systems competition are:
Nader Meleika, Karla Renic, Rachel Han, Amrit Kaur Klair, and Mikayla Koo.
Their student peer coach is Karen SueAnn Yao, and their course instructor is Will Zhao.
Come support and listen to teams present for the final.
