While it started to snow and the seasons truly began to change, the livelihood of St. Paul’s Student Life stayed the same. Over the month of November, there were countless opportunities for LLC students to gather with their peers and take a little time away from studying!
The St. Paul’s Student Life Department is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Fletcher, our Residence Life Coordinator, is this year’s recipient of the Ontario Association of College and University Housing Officers (OACUHO) President’s Award.
In the thick of their semester, students are incredibly busy, staying on top of their schooling while finding balance with their social life. Many residents’ motivation to live at St. Paul’s was to have access to a smaller community, academic support and the opportunity to live with like-minded people in Living Learning Communities.
The Bob Rosehart Fellowship is for a returning student in Engineering who has contributed to the life of the College. Bob Rosehart was a resident at St. Paul’s in the very first year it opened. He holds a doctorate in Engineering and has had a very distinguished career in university administration, including appointments as president of Lakehead University and president of Wilfrid Laurier University. Bob Rosehart also spent over a decade on the Board of St. Paul’s, including a term as chair.
The Rod Barr Fellowship is for a returning student in any academic field who has contributed to the life of the College. Rod Barr was a resident of the College in the 1960s. He went on to become a nationally recognized leader in the field of accounting. In 2009, Mr.
While wandering on campus, you may notice that there are numerous red and orange ribbons tied to the bridge crossing Laurel Creek from Environment 3 to St. Paul’s. In 2016, the Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre began tying red ribbons to the bridge to honour and provide a gentle reminder of the lives of 4000+ missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and two-spirit people, as a part of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

On March 22, 2023, GreenHouse celebrated their 28th Social Impact Showcase. 11 student-led social ventures pitched their ideas and 5 were awarded grants from the Social Impact Fund.
Each term, GreenHouse hosts the Social Impact Showcase to celebrate the achievements of our students and award startup grants from the Social Impact Fund. Join us to celebrate our 28th Showcase on March 22nd at 4:00pm.
