Applied Mathematics professor awarded 2021 Krieger-Nelson Prize

Anita Layton (Canada 150 Research Chair in Mathematical Biology and Medicine, Professor of Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Pharmacy, and Biology) has been announced as the recipient of the 2021 Krieger-Nelson Prize. The award is in recognition of Professor Layton's diverse contributions to applied mathematics in areas from renal physiology to computational fluid dynamics. The Krieger-Nelson Prize has been awarded by the Canadian Mathematical Society since 1995 to honour outstanding female mathematicians.
