The Academic Services Coordinator provides a broad spectrum of responsibilities including but not limited to student advising, academic integrity, scheduling, support for core functions (e.g., recruitment and admissions, internal and external events etc.), special projects, data management, and general administrative duties. The position acts as a liaison with units in the Faculty of Engineering and central university services as it relates to key accountabilities. Reporting to the Administrative Officer, the Academic Services Coordinator provides exceptional client support for academic programs within the School of Architecture.

Mark primarily supports our graduate studies students and program.

Andri is responsible for strategic planning, human resources administration, financial oversight management of facilities and equipment in a satellite campus, maintaining relationships with external organizations and other administrative functions required to support the teaching and research missions of the School of Architecture. Andri provides continuity as academic leadership changes, while supporting the students, staff and faculty at the School.

The Communications Specialist works closely with the Director and Advancement Manager providing creative and design expertise in the execution of all marketing and communication strategies.

Becky primarily supports our undergraduate studies students and program.

The Administrative Manager acts as the primary business representative and liaison for the University of Waterloo on site in Rome. Management of the program from an organizational point of view: organization and management of educational trips, off-site lectures, the study in Rome and relations with Canadian and Italian professors, as well as acting as financial officer. Frauke assists our students on a daily basis, both with personal inquiries and academic issues.

The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support for the general operation of the School of Architecture, and administrative services to faculty, staff and Director. This position reports to the Administrative Officer.

As the Fabrication Specialist/Instructor, Michael is primarily responsible for making sure the workshop is a safe environment for the school community to work in. He is responsible for supervising and instructing undergraduate and graduate students in the operation of the workshop equipment while educating users in proper safety practices. Michael also assists other staff and faculty members in the construction of various exhibits and installations within the school and community.

Elder William Woodworth, PhD, is serving as the Elder in Residence for the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo’s main campus, as well as the University of Waterloo’s School of Architecture in Cambridge, Ontario. In addition to providing faculty, staff, and students with culturally sensitive advising and counselling grounded in Haudenosaunee teachings, Elder Bill participates in regular lunches with students enrolled in STEM programs and will be teaching Arch 285-003/GENE 499 in Spring, 2022. This course will focus on the relationship between Indigenous peoples and settlers from the 16^th century to today, and how these relationships affect both engineering and architecture in the present.
