Wilfrid Laurier University

  • Use Wilfrid Laurier University on first reference only. 
  • On subsequent reference, use Laurier when referring to the university (not use WLU or Wilfrid Laurier). 
  • Use Sir Wilfrid Laurier. 
  • Waterloo and Brantford are referred to as campuses: either Laurier’s Waterloo campus or Laurier Waterloo, and Laurier’s Brantford campus or Laurier Brantford. Never refer to Waterloo as the “main” campus. 
  • Kitchener is referred to as the Lyle S. Hallman Faculty of Social Work in Kitchener, the Social Work faculty in Kitchener or Laurier’s Kitchener location. 
  • Toronto is referred to as Laurier Toronto or Laurier’s Toronto office.
