We are inviting you to come out an information session hosted in partnership with CFA Toronto where current CFA Charterholders will discuss what it takes to earn the CFA designation and how it has benefited them during their careers. This will be followed by an exciting panel of UW alumni and upper year students that will be sharing how the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) program has helped them succeed in their professional endeavors.

You will learn how Waterloo students have landed careers in finance by leveraging their alumni network as well as their education within UW and the CFA program. Members of the panel will include Michael Wang, CFA who is currently working at OTPP in Relationship Investing and Sunny Guo, CFA who is at CIBC in the Corporate Finance group. Additionally, you will hear from current students in the faculties of arts, math and science with various backgrounds including venture capital, public equity, trading, private equity and investment banking.

Come prepared with questions as the nature of the event will be an informal discussion. Students from all faculties with an interest in finance and the CFA designation are encouraged to come out. Following the panel discussion, you will have the opportunity to connect with panel members as well other students who are interested in the field of finance during an optional networking session.
