DECA Provincial Prep Conference

Who should attend?

Ontario high school students (grades 9 to 12) who are DECA Regional Competition winners and will be advancing to DECA Provincials. A maximum of 200 students who have competed in one of the following categories: 

  • BFS - Business Finance Series
  • ACT - Accounting Applications
  • FTDM - Financial Services
  • FCE - Financial Consulting Event
  • PFL - Personal Financial Literacy

Ideation Workshop

Women in Computer Science (WICS) is starting a Waterloo Chapter of the Technovation Challenge!

The ideation workshop will be held at the University of Waterloo. The workshop will introduce the Technovation Challenge and the MIT App Inventor — enough to give a sense of what coding will be like. In the afternoon, we’ll run an ideation workshop that helps the participants to explore their ideas for what their app might be about.

Man Up! Exploring Healthy Masculinity

Workshops are open to all male identifying students from all faculties. 

Through interactive exercises, this three hour workshop will provide men with the tools to become better versions of themselves. The dominant idea of manhood affects us all. More and more men are beginning to stand up and speak out about their desire to redefine what it means to be a man today.

The third annual Waterloo Women: Ideas, Makers, and Innovators (WIMIn) event will take place on January 26 and 27, 2018!

 WIMIn is an ideathon to inspire University of Waterloo students, alumni, and faculty to collaborate in developing world-changing ideas that could lead to potential products, businesses and a shift in mindset on pressing social issues. This one and a half day event will leave a direct and sustainable impact in supporting and connecting those who self-identify as women and non-binary to become leaders in their fields.
