Evelyn's entrepreneurial journey

Evelyn is a first-year Computing and Financial Management student. She joined Waterloo Entrepreneurship Residence Connection (WERC) when she started school.

Evelyn’s entrepreneurial journey started in 2014 when she and her sister founded Rêve D'avril, a business that sold handmade and personalized accessories. Through that experience she learned how to interact with customers, which led her to start her new company, Oh My Dreameon. In this business, she creates handmade accessories and specializes in miniature fake food! She has participated in two markets this past year and sells her products on Etsy!

Evelyn explained to us that for her taking risks are a major part of becoming an entrepreneur, but “as long as you have the passion for it, I believe that one should go for it.” She also said there will be "years of hard work and dedication, and it's definitely worth it."

Keep up the amazing work, Evelyn! We're excited to the miniature creations you come up with next!
