You spend a lot of hours marking, and you want your investment of time to be worthwhile for your students and for you. This workshop will combine lecturing, discussion, and activities, focusing on developing the following qualities:
Accuracy: Assigning grades that are justifiable and in line with course guidelines.
Effectiveness: Writing comments that lead to improved academic performance by your students.
Efficiency: Marking within your desired timeframe.
This workshop will benefit experienced grad students, but is mainly directed at TAs in their first or second teaching assignment. Bring pens or pencils to the workshop. Laptops and tablets are welcome.
