This year, ICGaN'25 will primarily take place at the University of Waterloo - Game Institute, providing an enriching environment for in-person participation. Additionally, the conference will offer a hybrid format, Melbourne University will be serving as a secondary location, ensuring accessibility and engagement for a global audience.

Snowpocalypse!
Dear travelers attending Waterloo in-person!
When travelling to the University of Waterloo, please heed weather warnings as we have been experiencing a snow filled and cold winter this year. It is vitally important that you come dressed and prepared for inclement weather.

Waterloo has received 140 cm (4.5 feet) of snow in the month of February.

The average temperature has been a high of -10 Celsius (14 Fahrenheit) and is expected to continue being in the negatives at the time of the conference.

Expect transit delays and please check travel times daily. Grand River Transit (the local public transit service) posts Service Alerts on their website.

Please be vigilant about airport delays and stay up to date about when your flight is scheduled to arrive and depart.

Dress appropriately! This includes wearing thick jackets, hats (we call them toques in Canada), scarves, and gloves. Learn more about how to dress appropriately in the winter!

We also recommend waterproof footwear that is built for walking in snow to provide you with traction and lessen the chance of slipping.
If we are required to close the UWaterloo campus due to UWaterloo guidelines, we will inform all conference participants in advance and move all in-person activities to Gather.Town.
