About Tanya
Tanya graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2009 with a Recreation and Business degree, and began working in social media right away as after doing co-op's at Research In Motion she had the best smart phone on the market (at the time) and a love for sharing on Facebook. In 2014, after a two year stint as a social media manager for 'internet after show' The Nat & Marie Show, she was recommended and hired to join the CBC Sports social media team for the Sochi Olympics. The one-month job led her to be offered a full-time role a year later during the Pan Am Games in Toronto which then snowballed into a lead Producer role which sent her to Rio for the 2016 Games. Just this Summer she produced for her 4th Olympics, and now is preparing to bring Canadians the Beijing Olympics in 2022 with CBC Sports. Tanya is a content creator and producer, but also an accomplished host and has been the MC for long-running live competitive painting championship 'Art Battle' since 2015.
