​Join Fem Phys and Women in Science for an informal conversation with Dr. Milena Grifoni about her career in physics. Dr. Grifoni researches quantum transport in nanoscale systems and quantum dissipation at the University of Regensburg in Germany. Coffee and cookies will be provided. All are welcome.

In partnership with the Kitchener Public Library, join John Donohue for a conversation with author and researcher Chad Orzel. They'll be talking about Orzel's latest book, A Brief History of Timekeeping.

About the book:

Bystander Intervention can help create a sense of belonging, care, and respect within our communities. The Sexual Violence Prevention & Response Office (SVPRO) is conducting training across the UWaterloo campus to provide skills and resources to help people intervene when they see a harmful, or potentially harmful, situation.

In celebration of World Quantum Day on April 14th, Dr. John Donohue from the Institute for Quantum Computing will sit down with Exploring by the Seat of Your Pants to explore quantum science and its applications, from light particles and electron waves to superconductors and quantum computers.
