Cara Orzech is a CPA with over 20 years of experience in tax practice and education. Following years of public practice in tax, focusing on taxation of individuals and owner-managed businesses and advising clients on the implementation of efficient tax structures, Cara transitioned to a full-time academic role at CPA Canada leading the strategic direction and development of their tax education courses. Cara currently specializes in the curation and delivery of education experiences for Canadian tax specialists.
Cara is an accomplished lecturer, facilitator, consultant and course developer for the University of Waterloo, University of Toronto, CPA Canada and other post-graduate professional organizations specializing in tax education. She is a regular contributor to various Canadian tax publications and tax education conferences. Cara has earned numerous accolades for her undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate lecturing and facilitating.
Cara earned her Bachelors degree in Economics from Huron University, a Masters of Management and Professional Accounting degree from the University of Toronto, and is a member in good standing of CPA Ontario and the Canadian Tax Foundation. Cara volunteers her time as a board and committee member for various community groups and charities, including CHAT, JIAS and CAAA.
