Welcome to the School of Accounting and Finance (SAF) Class of 2031!
As a Waterloo SAF student in the class of 2031, you are an integral part of our mandatory co-op program, and one of the first steps on your co-op journey is participating in the Launch Your Career (LYC) conference.
Launch Your Career is a professional development event for 1st year students designed to prepare you for successful professional interactions, enhance your networking skills, introduce you to the co-op and recruitment process, and help you develop your professional identity. This event is specifically tailored for students entering their first year of studies in Accounting and Financial Management (AFM), Sustainability and Financial Management (SFM), Computing and Financial Management (CFM), Science Biotech/CPA, or Math/CPA programs.
We are excited to invite you to this highly anticipated professional development event, where you will gain valuable knowledge and skills to excel in your future co-op experiences.

Time: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: St. George Banquet Hall, 665 King St N, Waterloo, ON N2J 4G8
Dress Code: Business Formal
- We recommend avoiding high-heeled shoes as you will be on your feet throughout the day.
Registration Deadline: August 28, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
- Advanced registration is mandatory.
- Registrations after the August 28th deadline will be added to the waitlist. Students will be notified of their eligibility to attend.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for conference attendees.
If you require transportation, buses will be provided for you.

- Your full-day attendance on Friday, September 11, 2026, is expected.
