Competitions
Students from our School of Accounting and Finance programs participate and challenge their skills each year at various competitions in and outside of the University of Waterloo. Our students participate in various challenging accounting and finance case competitions and conferences. We believe that this is a valuable learning experience for those involved. Subsidies are available to offset students' costs. The School also offers the Financial Literacy Competition for high school students interested in developing their knowledge of finance.

Subsidy program
The SAF external case competition subsidy program encourages and supports students attending pre-approved case competitions by providing funding to offset the costs of the students' registration fees, travel, and accommodation.
SAF promotes specific competitions on LEARN in 'MY SAF Community' when seeking student applications to form a team. Students can also find their own competitions to potentially be pre-approved to compete in. If you are an individual, you will be placed on a team if approved.
If you are interested in this opportunity, you can reach out to Keidon Giles (krgiles@uwaterloo.ca).
