Award criteria
The Faculty of Science established the Alumni Innovation Award to honour and recognize significant service, contribution, and achievements of alumni. This prestigious award is bestowed upon alumni who demonstrate significant contribution(s) in one or more of the following areas, in recognition of their accomplishments:
- Professional Achievement — Recognizes the accomplishments of Faculty of Science alumni in an area of innovation, including but not limited to: Innovation; Discovery; Entrepreneurship; Commercialization (existing venture capital considered but not essential).
- Might include participation in Velocity or another University of Waterloo entrepreneurship program.
Eligibility
Nominees must be a graduates of the University of Waterloo Faculty of Science undergraduate and/or graduate program(s).
This award can be bestowed on individuals or groups of two or more.
Nomination process
The Faculty of Science welcomes nominations for the Alumni Innovation Award from alumni, students, staff, retirees and members of the public.
To nominate an alumnus for the Alumni Team Award, a short online nomination form must be completed for an individual to be considered.
