WiS Discussion Series: Should Academia be my next post-doc?

The [planned] trajectory after a post-doctoral fellowship (PDF) is another PDF until you can land an academic position. But, is this the right step for you? What are some advantages/disadvantages of this route? Wonder how to get there, but are unsure?
