Gender Discrimination in Academia Past to Present: Conversation with Anne Dagg

On November 21st, we are excited to host Anne Dagg, her daughter, and the exhibit creator for an informal discussion about Anne's experiences, the meaning behind the current exhibit pieces and poems in STC, and action we can take for a better future for Science. Join us at 4:00pm at STC 2001 (the study space on the 2nd floor) for hot drinks and pastries and an insightful chat. This is a free event and does not require registration.

PhysiX: Girls Matter 2022

The Department of Physics and Astronomy is hosting students in Grades 7 and 8 on campus in-person on November 26th for free hands-on activity workshops, inspiring talks, and a panel discussion, to encourage and engage female and non-binary students to explore physics. This event is free, and participants are expected to stay for the whole event. Registration is now closed for the 2022 event.

WE'RE BACK! It's time to register for ski day! Alumni from the Faculties of Science and Engineering are once again invited to the beautiful Osler Bluff Ski Club in Collingwood for a fantastic day on the slopes.

We are excited to host the following guests:

World Wetlands Day (WWD) marks the day when the Convention on Wetlands was adopted in 1971 in Ramsar, Iran.
Join us online or in person at Federation Hall for a distinguished lecture by Dr. Line Rochefort and a panel discussion from wetland expert panelists on the topic of Wetland Restoration, moderated by Dr. Rochefort.
