How I get involved: I have been a part of the UWaterloo Culture and Language Exchange club (UWCLEC) where I was a Marketing executive for about 8 months, and the Waterloo Students and Microbiology club (WatSAM) as a research executive since my second year. My most recent involvements include being an Ambassador for Velocity, the Faculty of Science and volunteering at a plant biology research lab on campus (I find plants very cool!) I loved my time as an orientation leader with Warriors in 2022 and I look forward to volunteering with science Orientation in 2024!
Why I love my program
I love my program because I can take courses in any area of biology! I love learning about living organisms and getting to complement theory with more hands experience through extracurriculars and co-op! All staff, faculty and students that I have interacted with are super friendly and helpful!
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose UW for the academics, co-op, pretty campus and friendly people! I found everyone from the Profs, alumni and current students all to be very skilled and well rounded. The admissions representatives at university fairs were always positive and made personal connections with me and other students. The UWaterloo website provided so many resources for applying and transition into university, which helped me feel prepared for first year.
