Stream of study: Co-op

Pronouns: She/Her

Career goal: Healthcare

How I get involved: I was a part of iGEM, a synthetic biology club at Waterloo, for three years as a member, lab lead, and student advisor. I've also been an orientation leader for two years and this is my second year as a science ambassador! This year I'm also excited to be a peer mentor!

Why I love my program

I love how biology allows me to understand and explain the world around me and see things through a different lens. At Waterloo the Biology program is very flexible which allows me to explore other areas and build and curate my degree in alignment with my interests.

Why University of Waterloo?

The co-op program at Waterloo is what really drew me to the university. Going into university I had no idea what I wanted to do after my post-secondary education, so having the ability to get real-world experience working in my field of interest was something incredibly unique about Waterloo. Co-op has provided me with amazing experiences and has played a key role in helping me decide the next steps in my career.
