1st Year Student Video Series Auditions

Are you interested in being a video ambassador?

We’re looking for two Waterloo students to star in a video series to help new students learn what they need to know before starting at Waterloo.  This is a paying gig!  You’ll be compensated upon completion of the recordings.

What we’re looking for:

  • You are charismatic in front of the camera.
  • You speak quickly and clearly.
  • You feel comfortable reading out loud in front of a screen (Teleprompter). 
  • You are available to film on campus for 2-3 days on main-campus in March 2021

Virtual audition instructions: 

  1. Record yourself reading the script below in front of your computer or phone. 
  2. You won’t be judged on the quality of your video, lighting or audio etc. (Your web cam is fine) 
  3. One continuous take without cuts is preferred.
  4. Video must be under one minute (1:00) in length.
  5. Save the video and upload to a hosting platform like YouTube, or cloud storage like OneDrive.
  6. Complete the application form below.
  7. Ensure the link for your audition video into the application form.  
  8. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, February 27.
