As someone who’s worked with a lot of students over five co-op terms, and as a student myself, I know that if you ask a group of students what they like to do, most of them will immediately say travel. It’s a good thing, having the desire to experience the world and open your mind. However, most of us don’t have the means to take luxurious trips. It’s also a good thing, then, that travelling can be done on a budget.

Five tips on managing your student budget

With bluer skiers and sunnier days, it becomes a lot easier to spend frivolously and lose sight of your budget. Let’s face it, once summertime rolls around, we’re all heading to our favourite patios, attending music festivals, and planning vacations. Summer activities come with high costs, and managing these costs can be overwhelming while on a student budget.

Here are five tips on how you can have a great summer while also maintaining your budget.
