The spirit of connection and community was alive and well last Friday night at United College during the annual Beer and Bites Reunion event. The evening brought together alumni from all generations—recent graduates, longtime supporters, board members and everyone in between—for a night of delicious food, local brews, and unforgettable memories.

United College recently welcomed over 50 families for You @ Waterloo Day, offering prospective students a firsthand look at our suite-style residence, refreshed spaces, and vibrant campus community. With tours led by staff, students, and alumni, it was a meaningful day of connection, conversation, and a warm welcome to those considering United College as their home this fall.

On June 30, 2026, Dr. Richard Myers will complete his ten-year appointment as Principal of United College.  Over the past decade, Principal Myers has provided thoughtful and steady leadership, advancing the College’s mission and strengthening its role within the broader University of Waterloo community. His commitment to student success, inclusive education, and a collaborative and successful institution will leave a lasting legacy.

University of Waterloo student and United College Don Jonny Dodoo returned from the recently held National Black Canadian Summit in Montreal with more than just inspiration — he came back with a vision.

The summit held from January 31 to February 2 and hosted by the Michaëlle Jean Foundation, gathered changemakers from across the country to reflect, connect, and build a more inclusive future. For Jonny, it was a transformational experience that deepened his understanding of Black identity and sparked a new initiative he calls Shades of Black.

The 34th GreenHouse Social Impact Showcase, held last Wednesday at United College, brought together over 50 community members and social innovators from across the University of Waterloo and the broader community. The event highlighted student entrepreneurs committed to tackling pressing global and local challenges, with four standout ventures receiving funding to propel their initiatives forward.

United College at the University of Waterloo recently hosted its highly anticipated March Open House 2025, and once again it was an incredible success.

With over 90 tours throughout the day, the excitement was undeniable as future students, including many Grade 11s, explored all that United College has to offer.
