Dealing With Setbacks and Disappointments

Tuesday, June 20, 2023 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm EDT (GMT -04:00)

A drop-in interactive session to explore the nature of disappointments, challenges, setbacks, and failure; what they can teach us, and how to move past and grow from them.

Throughout our lifetime, disappointments and setbacks seem to be inevitable and recurring realities. How we cope with them is often a defining moment in our lives. In this interactive session we will: explore the nature of disappointments, challenges, setbacks, and even failure; discover what they can teach us; learn how to move past them and develop strategies that can be applied in school and beyond. In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., “We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.” No need to register, just drop-in. Snacks will be provided. Please feel free to bring your own refillable water bottle, coffee/tea/etc.
