CML Salon: Digital Media Research Sharing Session

Do you have a brilliant idea for a digital media project, but you're unsure of the technical elements involved? Are you interested in forming a collaboration but don't know how to make it happen? Are you curious about the digital media projects happening in the UW Department of English?

Students and faculty are invited to meet at the Critical Media Lab for an exciting informal research sharing session on the topic of collaborative projects in the field of digital media.

WHEN: Wednesday, February 1st, 2012 at 4:30 p.m.

WHERE: Critical Media Lab, 158 King St. W., Kitchener, ON

The meeting will feature talks by:

PhD student LAUREN BURR on the development of an alternate reality game (ARG) at the Carleton University Hypertext Lab.

UW English Professor SARAH TOLMIE on her current research involving the development of a Piers Plowman virtual reality interface

Following the presentations, students and faculty will have an opportunity to share details about their own past and current research, to field ideas for digital media projects, to discuss research questions or methodologies, and so on.
